Now the largest shrimp supplier to the US, the country's exports through November increased 16% year on year.
Yet Ecuador -- the third largest supplier of to the US through November -- increased its exports even more during November, at a rate of 70%.
Meanwhile Indonesia, the second largest supplier, increased its shipments to the US by 28% in November.
Total US shrimp imports increased 12% year on year during the first eleven months of 2014, continuing the same rate of increase over the prior year seen through the first 10 months of the year.
India's US export volume total of 99,565t through November compares just slightly better than Indonesia's 94,523t but is a healthier lead over Ecuador's 85,257t.
Vietnam, meanwhile, exported 68,715t to the US while Thailand's US-bound exports totaled 56,512t and China's totaled 30,134t.
The results show a sizable drop for Thailand's overall US exports through November, despite reports of recovering production, as overall shipments to the US dropped 26%, from 76,993t last year.
The volume of warm water, peeled, shrimp imports was also up through the first eleven months even more than total imports, at a 16% increase year on year
